How Peak, the Diamond Peak coaching app at coach.diamondpeak.uk, uses your data.

Who we are

Diamond Peak Consulting Ltd (no. 15726026), 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE, is the controller of your data, registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (no. ZC283195). Contact: privacy@diamondpeak.uk.

What we collect

Account: email, date of birth, sex (if you tell us: it sets how we count heart-rate training load), sign-in times, device and IP address. If you join the beta, your mobile number, so we can call or message you about testing, your feedback and your account. We never use it for marketing unless you agree, and it is never given to the AI coach.
Training: sessions, power, heart rate, pace, GPS routes, running and cycling form, thresholds, files you upload.
Health and wellness: sleep, HRV, heart rate, stress, breathing, Pulse Ox, skin temperature, blood pressure, hydration, steps, calories, weight and body composition, your cycle if you share it, and illness or injury you tell us about.
What you send us: chat, voice, photos and food logs.
Waitlist: if you join it, your name, email, goal, watch brand, whether it's your first time doing that race, whether you've used a training app before (and which one), and where you heard about Peak (for example Instagram). We use it to plan the beta, invite you, and learn who Peak suits and how people find it, with your consent. We keep your answers after you're invited, and delete them when you ask or when you delete your Peak account.
Payments: your subscription status. Stripe holds your card details; we never see them.

We get these from you and from the accounts you connect (Garmin Connect, Intervals.icu, Strava, Apple Health in the iPhone app, and Health Connect in the Android app).

We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. Without the health data consent, Peak can't coach you.

When your data goes outside the UK, it goes to countries covered by UK adequacy regulations or is protected by the safeguards UK law requires, such as the ICO's international data transfer agreement.

Your Garmin data

Used only to coach you; never passed to another app, sold, or used to train AI; left out of anonymised statistics; marked as coming from Garmin where shown; deleted within 30 days of you disconnecting Garmin.

Your Apple Health and Health Connect data

Only in the Peak app (Apple Health on iPhone, Health Connect on Android), and only if you connect it. Peak reads your workouts and their heart rate, steps, resting energy and resting heart rate: from Apple Health, what your Apple Watch or iPhone recorded; from Health Connect, what your watch and phone apps shared there. Never what Garmin Connect wrote into either: where Garmin has the data, Peak uses Garmin's own. Peak never writes to Apple Health or Health Connect.

It is used to coach you, including by Peak's AI coach (Claude, made by Anthropic, which doesn't use it to train its models), and to improve Peak's coaching. It is never sold, used for advertising or marketing, used to train AI models, or shared with anyone else, and it is never stored in iCloud. Disconnect in Settings → Connections and Peak deletes it straight away.

How long we keep it

While you have an account. When you delete it, we delete your data within 30 days, including backups, except payment records, which we keep for as long as tax law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see, export, correct or delete your data, to limit or object to how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time: email privacy@diamondpeak.uk. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Peak is for people aged 18 or over. We may update this notice; if a change matters, we will tell you in Peak. Using Peak is also covered by our terms of service.
